Dr. Brenda Baldeon, SLP.D, CCC

Dr. Baldeon is a native Spanish speaker. She has been in practice for 20 years in school, nursing home, acute, long-term acute (LTAC), and sub-acute settings in Southern California. Her educational background includes a Clinical Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University (FL), a Master of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Cal State Northridge (CA), and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Cal State Fullerton (CA). She is licensed, in good standing, by the CA Department of Consumer Affairs (Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing and Dispensers Board), and holds a current Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Current member of the following ASHA Special Interest Groups (SIGs):

  • SIG 3: Voice and Upper Airway Disorders
  • SIG 13: Swallowing and Swallowing Impairment (Dysphagia)
  • SIG 18: Telepractice

Dr. Baldeon is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) with the American Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists and is a member of the National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders (NFSD). She is also a HANEN certified SLP in "It Takes Two to Talk" to facilitate birth to three speech and language development.  In 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, she was awarded Expertise "Best Speech Language Pathologists in Los Angeles." In 2020, Dr. Baldeon became a member of the Infant Development Association of California (IDA) which supports the California Early Intervention community. To date, Dr. Baldeon has 7 Awards of Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA, with the latest awarded in 2023.
